Student success statement

“Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get.”

This quote implys that if you set yourself a goal then you can accomplish it. For example i set a goal for myself and that was to join the soccer team. And i ended up joining the varsity soccer team!  But this didn't just randomly happen. I started practicing like a month before tryouts in order to make the team and look at me now. When you set yourself a goal it's because you want to achieve it your not just going to sit around hoping that what you want automatically just comes to you. And if you try hard enough and you don't give up then you will eventually reach your point or goal you want to accomplish. Anything you want to do can come true if you put all your time and effort into it for example if you want to have straight a’s then you need to pay all attention in class. You also need to do your h.w everyday and you need to make up things like test that you score

a low score on. You need to be specific with your goals in order to accomplish that specific goal.

Columbus Day

Christopher columbus was said to have discover America. But in reality when he got to America there was already a lot of Indians. Many have been told that he was the one who sailed the ship and discovered America. But some evidence points out that many people might of came across america many years before he did. The Indians can be one example but also some chinese say that they discovered it in some early exploration. But there's people even before them that might of discovered america. Some scientists argue that some mysterious cave men that were around like 20,000 B.C could've discovered America and we don’t know who it was for sure but it was clearly not christopher columbus.  

"When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block  it becomes a building block." 

  This quote implys that you choose what you want to do to help you up or bring you down. If you choose you what to chose the wrong and go down a bad road then you will fail. When it comes to you, you have to watch out with the things do. this is because this things affect you more than anyone else. When you choose to do things like smoke and drink then you lead yourself in the wrong way. And what good is the right?  But when you choose the right then you have a stable place in witch you can stand on. For example if you choose the right like being kind and safe the you will have a stable foundation to recline on. Choosing the right helps you out in many ways. For example you can help out others or be someone people look up to.  

Pediatrician

Duties and Responsibilities: A pediatrician mainly focuses on patients from ages of newborns to young adults. They are responsible for examining  diagnosing, and treating children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses.

Salary: In 2013 it says the average amount yearly made is 173,000$  

Education: they have to have an undergraduate degree, followed by 4 years of medical school  and 3-7 years of  internship

Demand for this career:  it is expected to grow in a 18%

  

Reflection: I think i would enjoy working with kids. So i believe that being a pediatrician would be a good job for me.

“Prove them wrong” -Jhoana Rodriguez

This quote implys that you need to do what seems right even if no one supports what you want to do. You need to prove the people that doubt you wrong because at the end of the day you know you can do it. When people doubt you, you just have to let them keep thinking you can’t and then show them you can. If you rely too much on people you're never going to accomplish anything on your own. Even the closest people to you like your friends and family can't put you down at time but you just need to keep your head up and one day prove them wrong. When people tell you you're bad or not enough you shouldn't let it get to you and instead take it as  a little push for you to do better. This is true for whatever you want to do. For example a sport or career you want to do. It may even be smaller tasks like proving your parents that you can be responsible. People are always going to have something to say about you so if you choose the right it can be something good they say about you. You should show everyone that you can do it without much support. You can do it just show them all you are a strong independent person.

Otolaryngology

Duties and Responsibilities: They are a doctor that specializes in ears mouth throat and nose. They are focused on the respiratory system. They are called an Otolaryngologists.An otolaryngologist is a physician specialist who focuses on the treatment of medical disorders of the ears, nose, and throat. Sinus issues, cancers, infections, and  diseases.

Salary: they are annually paid 344,086$

Education:

• 4 years of medicine school  
• 4 years of college or university
• 5 years of residency training  

Demand for this profession: this profession is highly on demand (250,000)

This quote implys that if you are a obedient person then you are more likely to become and stay happy. If you do follow the rules and keep your pro misses there is a higher chance of you being happy. When you diced to choose the right you will be happy for the period of time that you do follow the rules. following the rules will open up a lot of chances for you. You will be trusted and will be listen to more often. For example if you follow your parents rules they will trust you more and you will bee given more chances to go out. Also if you do the right thing in school you will be remind as the good kids in school instead of the faliour of the school.
